Job summary

The Laramar Group LLC is seeking a Multifamily Regional Manager (NM) to oversee the financial and operational performance of a portfolio of multifamily communities across the Albuquerque market. Expect regular travel between properties and close collaboration with onsite teams to drive occupancy, revenue growth, and resident satisfaction.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years in property management, including LIHTC experience, and strong proficiency in Yardi and MS Office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 5+ years of property management experience, with recent Regional Property Manager experience.
• Asset/portfolio management experience.
• Ability to develop and maintain relationships with asset owners.
• LIHTC/affordable housing property management experience required.
• Working knowledge of LIHTC regulations and affordable housing operations.
• Proficient in Yardi property management software.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Frequent travel is required.
• Valid driver’s license and vehicle insurance coverage.

Responsibilities

• Understand financial goals and assist in budgeting for multiple sites.
• Maintain and report monthly variances and narratives for all sites in the portfolio.
• Oversee rent collection and deposits to the corporate office.
• Generate necessary legal action per state and company guidelines.
• Monitor accounts payable and petty cash handling.
• Ensure portfolio sites are rented to fullest capacity.
• Oversee marketing strategies to secure prospective residents.
• Maintain current resident files for all sites.
• Ensure LIHTC compliance and affordable housing operations.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and program-specific affordable housing requirements.
• Resolve escalated resident concerns promptly to ensure satisfaction.
• Assist Community Managers with retention programs.
• Monitor policy implementation across sites.
• Ensure compliance with Fair Housing regulations and ordinances.
• Conduct regular community inspections and tours for appearance and repairs.
• Oversee maintenance quality at market-ready apartments.
• Encourage ongoing training for staff on safety rules.
• Address unsafe conditions promptly.
• Report incidents to corporate office.
• Build strong on-site teams and develop performance strategies.
• Lead and motivate on-site staff to achieve goals.
• Other duties as assigned.
