Job summary

IronEdge is seeking a skilled IT Field Technician to provide on-site and remote support for hardware, software, and network systems. You will install, configure, and troubleshoot desktops, servers, routers, switches, and peripherals while maintaining LAN/WAN performance.

The role requires strong problem-solving, excellent communication, and able to work across internal teams and clients. Travel and on-call duties may be required; a valid driver's license is essential.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of computer hardware, software, and networking is essential.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.
• Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot common hardware and software problems.
• Excellent customer service skills are important.
• Ability to manage time efficiently and prioritize tasks.
• Familiarity with basic networking concepts (IP addressing, DHCP, DNS) is beneficial.
• Provide remote support to end-users or remote locations via phone, email, or remote desktop tools.
• Must be available for emergency on-call duty outside regular hours, if required.
• Must demonstrate strong schedule management to ensure timely, reliable IT support and meeting SLAs.
• All positions require successful completion of a criminal background check.
• This position requires travel to different locations with a valid driver’s license and a reliable vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and troubleshoot desktops, laptops, servers, routers, switches, and printers/scanners.
• Maintain LAN and WAN, diagnose connectivity issues, and ensure network performance.
• Provide on-site and remote end-user support and document service actions; manage IT inventory.
• Support IT security by applying updates and antivirus protection.
• Train users on basic IT procedures and manage equipment inventory; coordinate repairs or replacements.
