Job summary

Brinks Home is seeking a hands-on Alarm Service Technician who installs, services, and inspects low‑voltage security systems at customer sites across our coverage area. You will build relationships with customers, ensure systems meet expectations, and uphold Brinks Home standards of safety and service.

The role requires climbing ladders, working in tight spaces, driving to jobs, and diagnosing issues with panels from brands such as 2GIG, Qolsys, Ademco, GE, DSC, and DMP.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or GED.
• Good driving record and valid driver’s license.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Working knowledge of how an alarm system operates.
• Must be ok with climbing ladders and working at heights.
• Must be ok working in tight spaces such as crawlspaces, attics and basements.
• Low‑voltage license or alarm installation certification
• NICET I

Responsibilities

• Visit customer sites to install, service, and inspect low-voltage security equipment.
• Troubleshoot technical problems and diagnose issues.
• Replace system components as assigned (panels, peripherals, audible/visual alarms).
• Drive to customer homes to perform service and maintenance.
• Conduct thorough walkthrough/site evaluation with the customer to ensure the system meets needs.
• Install and test equipment to verify proper functionality and signaling.
• Provide training and educate customers on system operation and improvements.
