Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Network Technician at Scott AFB, IL to support the DISA-provided DISN services as part of the AISR Operations Support Cell within GSMO-II. This role focuses on monitoring, ticketing, fault isolation, and rapid restoration of networks under DGOC guidance.

The position requires active clearance, DoD-8570 IAT Level 2, and readiness for 24/7 operations. You will work with multiple teams to ensure service availability and incident resolution.

Qualifications

• Active Secret clearance with ability to obtain Top Secret.
• High school diploma with 2–4 years of experience.
• DoD-8570 IAT Level 2 certification at start date.
• Ability to work in a 24/7 operation.
• Experience with alarm surveillance, fault management, LAN maintenance or performance management.
• Advanced knowledge in routers, switches, DSN/DRSN, Video Services, CISCO/Juniper.
• Understanding of network topologies (transport and IP).

Responsibilities

• Create and update tickets.
• Triages and manages ticket queue in real time across multiple tools.
• Monitor network events and element management failures 24x7x365.
• Provide detailed analyses leading to resolution of alarm conditions including filtering and correlating fault information.
• Identify fault conditions and impacts; isolate root causes and coordinate correction of faults.
• Assist in developing and maintaining a centralized known error database.
• Notify necessary contacts based on networks, circuits or location incidents.
• Support fault isolation, diagnose and troubleshoot to locate faults.
• Restore networks and services to full operation and coordinate with other providers.
• Provide 24/7 sustainment support for outages and 1st/2nd line assistance.
