Job summary

Signature Aviation in Cedar Rapids seeks an Airside Experience Specialist to greet guests, crews, and aircraft with a service-first mindset. You will perform ground services and operate equipment, delivering a seamless, hospitality-driven experience from wheels down to wheels up, with flexibility for nights, weekends, and holidays in outdoor conditions.

The role requires strong teamwork, safety awareness, and excellent English communication.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 18 years of age.
• Able to pass background checks, drug tests, and airport background checks; insured per company policy.
• Authorized to work in the U.S.
• Good vision; color vision testing may be required.
• Valid state driver’s license; CDL may be required in some locations.
• Good judgment and ability to follow directions.
• Preferred: 3–6 months aviation or customer service experience.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of a team to conduct airside operations safely per SOPs and communicate effectively.
• Collaborate with guests, crew, vendors, and aircraft to meet service needs (fueling, de-icing, lavatory, ground power, potable water, parking, marshalling, towing).
• Prepare for arriving/departing aircraft, identify open tasks, and raise safety concerns promptly.
• Operate ground service equipment (fuel trucks, de-icing trucks, GPU, tugs, stairs).
• Load/unload luggage and cargo to/from aircraft and guest vehicles or transport modes.
• Provide professional guest service with a positive attitude at all times.
