Job summary

SP+, a Metropolis Company, is seeking a Wheelchair Supervisor to oversee wheelchair operations at an airport facility in Louisiana. You will push wheelchair passengers, assist with jet bridges, and ensure safety checks and reports are completed efficiently.

Ideal candidates have at least one year of supervisory experience, are able to lift up to 75 lbs, clear a background and drug screen, and obtain an airport badge. Airline experience is preferred and strong communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• Able to clear a background and drug screen.
• At least 1 year of supervisory experience.
• Airline experience preferred.
• Able to lift up to 75 lbs and push up to 300 lbs.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Able to obtain an airport badge.

Responsibilities

• Push wheelchair passengers to and from gates.
• Roll customer-occupied wheelchair safely down the jet bridge.
• Ensure wheel brakes are in place prior to allowing passengers to exit the wheelchair.
• Complete any necessary wheelchair or incident reports.
• Follow dispatcher gate orders.
• Maintain a friendly and positive attitude and assist passengers with problems or questions.
• Maintain professional relationships with colleagues, airline staff, and airport authorities.
• Exceed customer service standards.
• Carry out other duties as assigned.
