Job summary

TYLin is seeking a Program Director - Airport Terminals to lead planning, design, and delivery of major airport terminal programs. You will guide multidisciplinary teams and serve as a trusted advisor to airport authorities, design partners, contractors, and executive stakeholders.

This nationally/internationally recognized leader will oversee terminal redevelopment, passenger processing facilities, landside interfaces, and related infrastructure, navigating multi-billion-dollar capital programs

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Planning, or a related discipline.
15+ years of progressive experience delivering major aviation infrastructure projects.
Leadership of large airport terminal design programs within the United States or internationally.
Experience managing complex, multidisciplinary consultant teams.
Overseeing large capital programs with multiple concurrent workstreams.
Strong executive presence with exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
Experience working directly with airport authorities, owners, executive leadership, and major program stakeholders.
Thorough understanding of airport planning, terminal design, passenger experience, and operational requirements.
Experience with alternative delivery methods including Design-Build, Progressive Design-Build, CMAR, or Public-Private Partnerships (P3).
Ability to lead high-performing teams in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

Lead the planning and delivery of major airport terminal design and redevelopment programs.
Serve as the primary executive interface with airport owners, program management teams, and key stakeholders.
Direct multidisciplinary teams consisting of architects, engineers, planners, and specialty consultants.
Develop program execution strategies that support cost, schedule, quality, and risk objectives.
Provide executive oversight throughout planning, design, procurement, and construction support phases.
Manage project governance, reporting, and executive communications.
Guide technical decision-making while balancing operational, commercial, and passenger experience priorities.
Coordinate with design-build teams, CMAR teams, joint ventures, and alternative delivery partners.
Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies for large, complex programs.
Mentor and develop project managers and technical leaders across the aviation practice.
Support business development activities, client relationship management, and strategic growth initiatives.
