Job summary

The Shift Supervisor at HMSHost is responsible for assisting management in monitoring day-to-day activities of subordinates, ensuring productivity, assigning responsibilities, and guiding work directions to maintain shift coverage and customer satisfaction.

This non-exempt role reports to Store Manager or General Manager and requires adherence to safety, HACCP standards, and cash-handling policies; HMSHost supports growth within airport operations.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
• Minimum 6 months supervisory/lead experience.
• Ability to read, write and comprehend instructions and policies; converse with customers.
• Food and beverage, cash handling, and customer service experience preferred.
• Ability to bend, twist, and stand; lift up to 40 lbs.
• Hands frequently immersed in water or chemical solutions.

Responsibilities

• Monitor day-to-day activities of subordinates and coordinate breaks.
• Complete opening, daily and closing procedures per policies.
• Coordinate onboarding of new associates with management.
• Operate cash register and handle transactions per cash handling policies.
• Move supplies between storage and work areas as needed.
• Support product rotation and participate in inventory counts.
