Job summary

Culmen International is seeking an Airport Screening Operations Manager to lead daily passenger checkpoint and baggage screening operations across multiple airports. You will supervise STSOs and shift-based teams, develop staffing plans, and drive performance in a regulated security environment.

Reporting to the Task Order Project Manager, you will coordinate with TSA and airport stakeholders, implement screening procedures, and use data to optimize throughput and staffing.

Qualifications

• Five+ years in aviation security or airport operations.
• Experience supervising large, shift-based workforces.
• Strong understanding of scheduling, deployment and performance.
• Experience operating in a regulated security environment.
• Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.
• US citizen/national with TSA suitability.
• Ability to work onsite for 24/7 airport operations.
• Prior STSO/TSA SPP/operations manager experience is a plus.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Direct daily passenger checkpoint and checked-baggage screening operations.
• Manage STSOs and other supervisors across shifts.
• Develop and adjust operational schedules based on volumes and flight schedules.
• Monitor wait times, throughput, staffing utilization and performance.
• Coordinate with TSA/FSD and airport stakeholders on daily requirements.
• Implement new or revised TSA screening procedures and directives.
• Identify risks, performance gaps, and workforce issues and take corrective actions.
• Support incident response and surge staffing.
• Develop frontline supervisors and reinforce accountability and customer service.
• Use data and metrics to drive continuous improvement.
