Job summary

Culmen International is seeking an experienced TSA SPP Airport Screening Operations Manager to oversee day-to-day passenger and baggage screening operations at US airports. The role requires strong leadership, staffing, TSA compliance, and performance management.

Reporting to the Task Order Project Manager, you will direct checkpoints, coordinate with TSA and airport stakeholders, develop schedules, monitor throughput, and drive continuous improvement while supporting 24/7 operations.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of aviation security, airport operations or equivalent operations management experience.
• Experience supervising large, shift-based workforces.
• Strong scheduling, workforce deployment and performance management skills.
• Experience operating in a regulated security environment.
• Strong decision-making, communication and stakeholder-management abilities.
• U.S. Citizenship or U.S. National and ability to meet TSA suitability requirements.
• Ability to work onsite and support a 24/7 airport operation.

Responsibilities

• Direct daily passenger checkpoint and checked-baggage screening operations.
• Manage supervisors and ensure coverage across shifts.
• Develop and adjust schedules based on volumes, flight schedules and staffing.
• Monitor throughput, wait times, staffing utilization and performance.
• Coordinate with TSA/FSD and airport stakeholders on daily needs.
• Implement new TSA screening procedures and directives.
• Identify risks and gaps and implement corrective actions.
• Support incident response, irregular operations and surge staffing.
• Develop frontline supervisors and promote accountability and customer service.
• Use data and metrics to drive continuous improvement.
