Job summary

Menzies Aviation in Washington, DC is seeking a Wheelchair Agent to assist passengers with mobility needs across the airport. You will provide wheelchair transport and courteous service from check-in through boarding, connections, arrival, and baggage claim.

The role requires strong communication, physical stamina, and the ability to work nights, weekends, and overtime. Candidates should meet basic education requirements, pass background and drug checks, and be ready to deliver safe,

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Must be 18+ and eligible to work in the US.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding airport environment.
  • Must pass drug test and background check.
  • Ability to push wheelchairs and assist boarding.

Responsibilities

  • Assist passengers requiring wheelchair or mobility assistance throughout the airport.
  • Transport passengers safely between ticket counters, security, gates, baggage claim, and connections.
  • Assist with boarding and deplaning when required.
  • Provide excellent customer service and professional communication.
  • Coordinate with gate agents and staff to ensure timely passenger assistance.
  • Follow safety procedures and TSA regulations.
  • Report operational concerns to supervisors promptly.
  • Maintain professionalism and sensitivity.
  • Perform other duties as requested.
