Job summary

The City of Austin is seeking a facilities and operations professional to support Austin-Bergstrom International Airport. Under close supervision, you will coordinate administrative and operational management of airport facilities, inspect for safety, respond to emergencies, and prepare technical reports for federal agencies and airport tenants.

You must have an associate degree or relevant experience, strong knowledge of airport operations and laws, and the ability to work with multiple

Qualifications

• Associate degree or two years military/airport ops experience.
• Knowledge of airport operations and safety standards.
• Ability to obtain federal security clearances to work at an airport.

Responsibilities

• Inspects facilities and ensures safe operating conditions.
• Investigates problems and recommends corrective actions.
• Responds to emergencies, coordinates activities and implements plans.
• Writes technical reports and coordinates with federal agencies and tenants.
• Operates multi-channel radio and paging systems, and records data.
• Coordinates opening/closing of airport areas based on conditions.
• May provide leadership when needed.
