Job summary

City of Austin seeks an Airport Operations Coordinator to oversee administrative and operational management of AUS facilities. You will help ensure safety, security, and efficiency in daily airport operations under supervision, coordinating with federal agencies, tenants, and internal teams.

Responsibilities include inspecting facilities, responding to emergencies, writing reports, and managing multi-agency communications.

Qualifications

• Requires associate degree or two years related experience.
• Knowledge of airport operations, laws, and safety practices.
• Ability to lead, train others, and manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and perform administrative and operational management of airport facilities.
• Inspect facilities and ensure safe operating conditions.
• Respond to emergencies and coordinate emergency activities and plans.
• Write technical reports and research information as requested.
• Interact with federal agencies, tenants, and City employees to ensure safety and efficiency.
• Operate and monitor multi-channel communications systems.
• Open/close airport areas based on conditions and emergencies.
