Job summary

AUS is seeking an innovative Airport Deputy Chief Officer of Operations & Experience to lead and integrate airport-wide operations and guest experience initiatives at Austin-Bergstrom International Airport. You will guide strategy, compliance, budget oversight, and stakeholder engagement, delivering a standardized, safe, customer-focused travel environment.

The ideal candidate brings executive leadership in airport operations, proven change management, and a strong record of improving

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Public Administration, Aviation Management, Accounting/Finance, Engineering, or related field.
• Six (6) years of related experience, including two (2) years in a supervisory or managerial capacity.
• Master’s degree may substitute for up to two years of required experience.
• Executive leadership experience in airport operations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate multiple functional areas to ensure operational readiness and customer experience.
• Oversee strategic planning, budgeting, and compliance with regulations.
• Represent the department to boards, city bodies, and external partners.
