Job summary

Escape Lounges / Cavu in Oakland seeks an experienced Assistant General Manager to lead day-to-day lounge operations, ensuring world-class guest experiences and food/beverage excellence. You will drive smooth team performance across front and back of house and uphold high service standards.

This hands-on leadership role requires 2+ years in hospitality or lounge management, strong communication, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of hospitality or restaurant management experience (airport, hotel, or upscale lounge experience a plus).
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and problem-solve in a dynamic environment.
• Working knowledge of POS systems, Microsoft Office, and Teams.
• ServSafe Food Handler and BASSETT certifications (or willingness to obtain).
• Availability to work varied shifts, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Eligibility to pass TSA background check and obtain an airport badge.

Responsibilities

• Oversee lounge operations—front of house, back of house, and administrative functions.
• Supervise, coach, and inspire the lounge team while upholding service standards.
• Manage scheduling, onboarding, employee relations, and regulatory compliance.
• Foster a welcoming, polished guest experience reflective of Escape Lounges standards.
• Monitor food quality, inventory, and cleanliness; ensure menu adherence.
• Collaborate with partners to maintain brand and operational excellence.
