Job summary

CAVU is seeking a Lounge Manager to oversee day-to-day operations and uphold the highest standards of guest service in our Portland lounge. You will lead a diverse team, ensure cleanliness and food safety, and coordinate with the Executive Chef and General Manager on staffing, training, and vendor relations.

The role requires strong hospitality experience, a proactive leadership style, and the ability to manage multiple moving parts across shifts.

Qualifications

• Solid background in hospitality and service.
• Proven track record of high-end delivery.
• Able to lead a diverse team with daily operations.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Manager on Duty in the day-to-day operations.
• Adopt and maintain lounge standards, policies and procedures at all times including but not limited to cleanliness, food safety, guest service and reporting.
• Provide the team with a welcoming and mutually supportive work environment.
• Resolve team member issues with discretion and professionalism.
• Oversee Lounge Supervisors, Agents, Cooks, Receptionists, Porters and Housekeeping.
• Assist Executive Chef, and General Manager in recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, scheduling, and training of staff.
• Maintain relationships with vendors, suppliers, and airlines to ensure lounge development in conjunction with the General Manager.
• Facilities leadership with cleanliness, organization and vendor set up for necessary repairs.
• Ordering of product including food, beverage, uniforms, and supplies.
• Conducting staff meetings, and pre-shift meetings in partnership with the General Manager.
• Conducting monthly inventory in conjunction with General Manager and Executive Chef.
• Implementing new initiatives and training staff on all new menus, systems and processes.
