Job summary

HMSHost is hiring a Cook for the airport location in San Antonio. The role covers Fry, Flat Top, Pantry, and eggs, ensuring timely service and high-quality food for guests. This non-exempt position requires adherence to health and safety standards and teamwork in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include following recipes, controlling portions, and maintaining clean, safe work areas while delivering exceptional guest experiences at all times.

Qualifications

• Requires food preparation skills and knowledge of HACCP standards.
• Requires a minimum of 1 year of closely related cooking experience.
• Experience in high-volume casual dining environments preferred.
• Ability to read, understand instructions and communicate with customers and team members.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and stand/bend for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook items following recipes and menus.
• Communicate ticket times and potential issues to the manager on duty.
• Maintain high quality and food safety standards in all stations.
• Sanitize and clean workstations and equipment regularly.
• Stock, date, rotate, and monitor product temperatures.
• Follow HACCP guidelines and company safety practices.
