Job summary

Peraton is hiring Customer Technical Specialists to support the DHS/TSA customer at airports nationwide. The role focuses on IT operations support, including desk-side and on-site assistance for a range of devices and networks, with travel up to 25%.

You will work with senior government personnel in high-profile environments, ensuring secure, reliable IT services and adherence to SLAs across multiple locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 0 years’ experience or Associate’s degree with 2 years’ experience or HS diploma/equivalent and 4 years experience.
• U.S. Citizenship, must have the ability to obtain / maintain a DHS Entrance on Duty (EOD) clearance.
• Experience with desk-side IT support.
• Experience supporting a variety of IT technologies (Laptops, Mobile devices, etc.)

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on technical support for a wide range of IT and network systems at airports.
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues both remotely and in-person.
• Perform installation and configuration of end-user devices such as laptops, mobile devices, and peripherals.
• Support infrastructure components like fiber backbones, patch panels, and network interconnectivity.
• Log and manage updates through a ticketing system; maintain asset and configuration records.
• Conduct routine IT inventory audits and update equipment documentation.
• Collaborate with Peraton leadership to recommend technology and process improvements.
• Deliver support with a professional presence when assisting senior government personnel.
• Provide technical support for end user devices, software, network infrastructure, and AV systems.
• Coordinate desk-side support for new software installations or hardware break/fix activities.
• Investigate and resolve connectivity issues related to end-user and site infrastructure.
