Job summary

Peraton is seeking a Customer Technical Specialist to provide on-site IT and network support at Omaha, NE. You will handle a broad range of devices and systems, troubleshoot issues, and document assets and configurations. Occasional travel up to 25% will be required to support DHS/TSA operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with relevant IT experience or Associate's degree with 2+ years experience or HS diploma with 4+ years experience.
• U.S. Citizenship required; ability to obtain/maintain DHS EOD clearance.
• Experience supporting end-user IT hardware/software in desk-side or field service environments.
• Experience supporting a variety of IT technologies (Laptops, Mobile devices, etc.).
• Excellent communication skills and ability to support senior government staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on IT and network support for a wide range of systems and devices.
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues remotely and on-site.
• Install and configure end-user devices such as laptops, mobile devices, and peripherals.
• Support infrastructure components like fiber backbones and network interconnectivity.
• Log updates and maintain asset and configuration records.
• Conduct routine IT inventory audits and update documentation.
• Collaborate with leadership to recommend technology improvements.
• Deliver professional support in high-profile government environments.
