Job summary

United Ground Express is looking for a Passenger Service Agent in Alabama to greet passengers, check in travelers, reissue tickets, and ensure flights depart on time. You will read baggage tags, assist with loading, and resolve issues under FAA and company policies.

Strong communication in English, ability to lift 70 lbs, and flexibility for shifts are essential. This role is on-site at the airport and includes benefits and career growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must acquire credentials including fingerprint clearance and airport background checks.
• Pre-employment process may include drug screen and vision/hearing checks.
• Available to work any shift, weekends and holidays; overtime may be required.
• Able to operate computers, mobile devices and radio devices.
• Must read/write/speak English fluently.
• Able to lift 70 lbs and handle baggage and cargo.
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Greeting passengers and providing a seamless check-in and ticketing experience.
• Use reservation/ticketing software to rebook itineraries and issue boarding passes.
• Ensure passenger information is processed accurately and flights depart on time.
• Resolve passenger issues during flight interruptions per policies.
• Read and interpret baggage tags and cargo labels; prep aircraft for next flight.
• Communicate with co-workers/flight crew using radio devices.
• Drive ground equipment and assist with loading/unloading operations.
• Maintain composure while handling customer challenges in all weather.
