Job summary

United Ground Express in Colorado is hiring a Passenger Services Agent to greet passengers, check in, issue boarding passes, and rebook itineraries using reservation software. You will handle baggage, communicate with flight crews via radio, and ensure safety compliance with United and FAA rules.

This role requires physical stamina to lift up to 70 lbs, the ability to work all shifts, and the legal right to work in the United States. Competitive wages and benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must pass pre-employment checks including background & drug screen.
• Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English fluently.
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Must be able to lift and carry bags and items weighing up to 70 lbs.
• Able to work varied shifts including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Greet passengers and provide a seamless check-in and ticketing experience.
• Use reservation software to rebook itineraries and issue boarding passes.
• Ensure passenger information is processed accurately and flights are scheduled on time.
• Resolve passenger issues per company policies during flight disruptions.
• Assist in Baggage Service Office to track baggage and respond to passenger questions.
• Operate computers, mobile devices, and new technologies.
• Lift baggage and cargo weighing up to 70 lbs during shifts.
• Read and interpret baggage tags and cargo labels.
• Communicate with coworkers and flight crew via radio devices.
• Adhere to United and FAA regulations and safety policies.
• Prepare aircraft for the next flight and assist with loading/unloading operations.
• Clean aircraft interiors and service lavatories as needed.
