Alaska Airlines is seeking a Customer Service Agent in Nome to assist guests with travel needs at the airport. You will support ticketing, check-in, and boarding in a fast-paced, union-represented environment.

Requirements include 6 months of customer service, strong interpersonal skills, 25 WPM, ability to lift 50 lbs, and English proficiency. Starting rate is USD 29.08 per hour, with a hiring bonus and structured payoff schedule.

Qualifications

• 6 months of customer service or community service experience.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills (verbal, written, listening).
• Typing speed of at least 25 WPM.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Ability to push/pull 50 lbs.
• Ability to bend, stoop, squat, reach and grasp.
• Flexibility to work varied shifts (weekends, holidays).
• Participate in paid training.
• Learn and operate a computerized reservation system.
• Adapt to performing work according to set procedures.
• Anticipate needs of others in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to communicate in English.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum age of 18.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Responsabilités

• Assist guests with travel needs (inquiries, ticketing, check-in, boarding) in a fast-paced environment.
• Sell tickets and ensure cabin accommodations.
• Perform computer, iPad and paperwork tasks.
• Arrange seat assignments, loads, meals, and upgrades for flights.
• Conduct boarding and gate duties (check tickets, direct passengers, announcements, cabin security).
• Process and secure passenger luggage.
• May be assigned duties across capacities to ensure guest satisfaction.
