Mead & Hunt is offering a full-time, limited-term civil engineering internship based in Chicago, IL. The intern will support engineers, technicians and surveyors on airport projects, including inspections, measurements, and report preparation, with frequent travel across IL, WI, MI, and IN.

The role requires at least two semesters of civil engineering coursework, a valid driver's license, and willingness to travel 50–80% of the time. Hourly compensation ranges from $18.00 to $25.00.

Qualifications

• Two semesters of college-level coursework in civil engineering or related field.
• Experience with construction inspection or field documentation.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD/Civil3D and basic surveying concepts.

Responsibilities

• Assist engineers, technicians and surveyors on civil airport projects (taxiways, runways, aprons).
• Take measurements, compute quantities and prepare pay estimates.
• Assist with project reports and documentation.
• Perform field inspections and survey tasks.
• Support other tasks as assigned.
