Job summary

HMSHost at Newark Airport is seeking an experienced Bartender to greet guests, take drink and food orders, and prepare cocktails following recipes. You will also serve beer and other beverages, handle payments, and ensure a clean, well-stocked bar throughout shifts.

The role requires at least 1 year of bartending in a high-volume setting, plus knowledge of beer, wine and spirits, and strong customer-service skills. This is a non-exempt position with potential growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Must meet state minimum age for serving alcoholic beverages.
• At least 1 year of bartending experience, high volume or fast casual preferred.
• Knowledge of beer, wine, and spirits and their preparation.
• Ability to communicate clearly with customers and coworkers.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers, take orders and upsell where appropriate.
• Mix beverages following recipes and serve beverages and food.
• Handle payments and operate cash registers per policy.
• Maintain clean, stocked bar and comply with safety procedures.
• Communicate ticket times and issues to management and servers.
