Avolta at Harrisburg International Airport is seeking a Bartender to greet guests, take orders, mix drinks, serve beverages and food, and handle transactions with friendly, efficient service in a high-volume setting. Minimum age for serving alcohol applies.

At least 1 year of bartending experience is preferred; knowledge of beer, wine and spirits essential. Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds and work a flexible schedule.

Qualifications

• Must meet state minimum age for serving alcoholic beverages.
• Requires at least 1 year of bartending experience; high-volume or fast casual dining environment preferred.
• Knowledge of beer, wine, and spirits and their preparation.
• Ability to interact with the public and coworkers in a friendly, enthusiastic and outgoing manner.
• Requires the ability to lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
• Cash handling and customer service experience preferred.
• Ability to read, speak and comprehend instructions and policy documents.

Responsibilities

• Greets customers and takes orders; upsells when possible.
• Follows recipes and directions for mixing beverages.
• Collects payments and operates cash registers; secures monies at shift end.
• Follows alcohol awareness procedures and handles intoxicated guests.
• Adheres to HMSHost customer service, alcohol and cash handling policies.
• Keeps bar clean, sanitized and well stocked.
• Adheres to safety and sanitation policies.
