North American Concessions in Chicago, IL is seeking a Cook to join our team at Midway Airport. The ideal candidate is attentive, motivated, and reliable, with a passion for quality cuisine and a strong work ethic.

You will work in a fast-paced banquet-style environment, following recipes, prepping items, and ensuring food safety and customer service. Flexibility for varied shifts, weekend work, and the ability to lift up to 40 lbs is required.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a cook in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with kitchen equipment and utensils.
• Strong attention to detail and teamwork.
• Effective listening and communication skills.
• Experience cooking items to order specifications.
• Ability to prep and maintain sauces/marinades for specific stations.
• Must obtain food safety certifications (Food Handler, Allergens).

Responsibilities

• Follow prescribed recipes and portion controls.
• Prepare menu items per recipes and requests.
• Work varied hours including weekends.
• Safely use and maintain kitchen tools/equipment.
• Maintain food safety and quality standards.
• Read and use a thermometer accurately.
• Monitor inventory and communicate shortages.
• Follow allergy procedures and special orders.
• Adhere to safety, sanitation, and employment policies.
• Collaborate with team and management; perform other duties.
