Job summary

Vanderlande is seeking a Maintenance Manager to oversee the maintenance operations of an Automated Baggage Handling System within a service contract environment in the United States. You will manage 30–40 maintenance staff, coordinate with customers and subcontractors, and drive continuous improvement across maintenance functions.

Standard daytime hours with travel up to 50% domestically before go-live and less than 10% after.

Qualifications

Technical education in Electrical, Mechanical, or Control Systems Engineering.
5+ years in a technical role with electromechanical systems background.
3+ years of leadership in maintenance or engineering team management.

Responsibilities

Lead and supervise the maintenance team to ensure efficient and safe execution of maintenance activities.
Develop and manage staff schedules, ensuring optimal manpower allocation and skill coverage across shifts.
Monitor team performance and implement performance improvement initiatives.
Liaise with customer, subcontractors, and internal departments for seamless integration.
Identify and implement process improvements and efficiency gains.
Report maintenance metrics and system performance to stakeholders.
Oversee maintenance scheduling, resource planning, and task delegation.
Rotate team members to build cross-functional capabilities.
