Job summary

Menzies Aviation is hiring for a Passenger Services role in Des Moines. You will assist passengers and their property to ensure safe arrival at destinations, handling check-in, seating, document checks, and boarding procedures for domestic and international flights.

Varying shifts, outdoor and indoor work in all weather, and lifting up to 70 lbs are required. A high school diploma or GED is required, along with the ability to obtain an airport SIDA badge and Customs Seal.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• One year of Customer Service experience.
• High School diploma or GED.
• Must meet all requirements to obtain airport SIDA badge and Customs Seal.
• Must be able to speak, read, and write in English.
• Must be available to work variable shifts including weekends and holidays.
• Work indoors and outdoors – comfortable in all weather.
• Able to lift up to 70 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Check in passengers for international and domestic travel.
• Assign seats for passengers.
• Verify travel documents for flights.
• Provide boarding passes for assigned charter flight.
• Verify ticket and seat reservations.
• Match manifest to on-board count.
• Assist with government agency requirements.
• Connect and disconnect Jetway/stairs as needed.
• Announce arrivals and departures.
