Job summary

Pyramid Consulting, Inc. is seeking a Field Engineer for a 12+ month contract in Detroit, MI. The role involves installation, relocation, upgrades, and on-site troubleshooting of desktops, peripherals, and network devices, with 7x24x365 support as needed.

Ideal candidates have basic IT knowledge, WiFi/mobility familiarity, and an A+ Certification or equivalent experience. Valid driver’s license and potential overnight travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Basic network, server and application knowledge.
• WiFi and mobility basics; hardware/software troubleshooting.
• A+ Certification or equivalent experience required.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and support desktops, peripherals, phones, and network devices.
• Perform on-site relocation and upgrade services per Service Request.
• Update asset management systems and verify assets per policy.
• Provide 7x24x365 on-site and on-call support as needed.
• Coordinate with Field Planning, Project Management, and vendors.
• Assist with site surveys and preventative maintenance.
