Job summary

Alaska Airlines Seattle airport is seeking a Customer Service Agent to engage guests with care and create remarkable travel experiences. You will respond to inquiries and perform check-in, boarding, and baggage tasks across the lobby, gate, and baggage areas as an individual contributor in a union represented role.

You will need to handle baggage issues, de-escalate situations, learn the iPad check-in system, and adhere to strict procedures while delivering friendly service in a fast-paced

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months of customer service or community service experience.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
• Able to greet guests with a smile and friendly greeting.
• Typing speed of at least 25 WPM.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and push/pull 50 lbs.
• Ability to bend, stoop, squat, reach, and grasp.
• Flexible to work varied shifts including weekends/holidays.
• Willingness to participate in paid training for eight consecutive days.
• Ability to learn and use an iPad and computerized check-in system.
• Adapt to set procedures in a fast-paced environment.
• Anticipate needs of others in a fast-paced setting.
• Work with large diverse groups of people.
• Must have Real ID/Passport or compliant documents for SIDA badge.
• English communication is required.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum age 18.
• Authorized to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist guests with travel needs in a fast-paced environment.
• Perform check-in, boarding, and baggage-related tasks.
• De-escalate upset guests to ensure positive travel experiences.
• Assist guests with missing or damaged baggage and rebooking as needed.
• May be assigned to additional duties to ensure guest satisfaction.
