A leading aerospace manufacturer is seeking an experienced Airframe Structural Liaison Engineer to join their team in Mobile, Alabama. The role involves managing technical information and providing engineering support during the manufacturing process, as well as collaborating between various engineering offices and production teams. Ideal candidates will have a degree in aerospace or related fields and extensive experience in structural engineering for aircraft.
Qualifications
5 years of experience in the aviation industry with preference to Airbus aircraft.
Capability to train towards and obtain Design Office and Chief Engineering delegations.
Knowledge of Aircraft configuration management rules and internal procedures.
Responsibilities
Accountability for approved repair and troubleshooting instructions.
Creation and approval of technical solutions and structure justification reports.
Representing design offices and suppliers on technical matters.
Skills
Experience in design of metallic and/or composite aircraft structure
Knowledge of aerospace materials and corrosion protection
Ability to solve problems
Knowledge in fatigue and damage tolerance justification
Experience with AIRBUS manuals
Education
B.S. or M.S. degree in aerospace, mechanical or aircraft construction engineering
