Job summary

Airbus Commercial Aircraft is seeking an Airframe Design Liaison Engineer in Mobile, AL to lead structural solutions for primary and secondary airframe structures. The role interfaces shop floor operations with transnational design offices, ensuring safe airworthiness and timely production.

Responsibilities include authoring repair data, validating non-conformities, and coordinating global engineering actions, while traveling up to 10% as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level engineering degree in a relevant field.
• Minimum years of experience in aircraft structure design support.
• Knowledge of airframe primary/secondary structures and repair principles.
• Familiarity with Airbus design principles and procedures.
• Ability to navigate technical manuals (SRM/AMM/IPC).
• Willingness to travel up to 10% domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Author, validate, and approve structural repair drawings and datasets.
• Ensure airworthiness compliance across engineering files.
• Create temporary definitions for testing in line with requirements.
• Coordinate major reworks with global Airbus engineering teams.
• Act as interface between shop floor and design offices.
• Review design data and prepare material for briefings.
• Develop permanent modification drawings and design updates.
• Represent site in international technical blocks.
