Job summary

Airbus Americas, Inc. in Mobile, AL is seeking an Airframe MRB/Liaison Engineer to join our engineering team. The role focuses on developing, justifying, and approving structural solutions for airframe non-conformities, interfacing between shop floor operations and global design offices.

You will own repair drawings, ensure airworthiness, coordinate with international teams, and support on-site manufacturing through final delivery, with travel up to 10% and US work eligibility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Aerospace/Aeronautical/Mechanical/Systems Engineering or equivalent.
• 6+ years of progressive airframe structure design engineering experience.
• Deep knowledge of primary and secondary aircraft structures and repair principles.
• Familiarity with Airbus design principles, procedures and tools.
• Experience with non-conformity repairs and repair data packages.
• Proficiency in technical documentation and change management.
• Eligible to work in the US; willingness to travel up to 10%.

Responsibilities

• Author, validate, and approve structural repair drawings and datasets.
• Ensure airworthiness compliance across released engineering files.
• Create and authorize temporary aircraft definitions for testing.
• Coordinate major reworks with global Airbus engineering teams.
• Serve as liaison on the shop floor between engineering and manufacturing.
• Provide input for technical team briefings and reviews.
• Support on-site structures engineering across manufacturing processes.
• Represent local site in international design blocks and standards.
