Job summary

Saab West Lafayette is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Technician for 3rd shift to ensure tool readiness, drive tooling improvements, manage inventory and support the production team. You will work as a key link between tooling engineering and shop floor, with emphasis on safety and compliance to aerospace standards.

Responsibilities include tooling audits, performance testing, issue resolution, and supporting new tooling capital projects while upholding Saab values of Trust, Drive,

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in STEM or 2+ years comparable work experience.
• 2+ years of technical/assembly in aircraft manufacturing is a plus.
• Tooling selection/application experience in manufacturing setting.
• Basic tooling design and troubleshooting tooling issues.

Responsibilities

• Audit and maintain proper tools within each assembly area.
• Provide support for tooling studies and application.
• Conduct performance testing for tooling and provide technical analysis reports.
