Saab is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Technician in West Lafayette, IN for our 3rd shift to support tooling in aircraft production. You will ensure tooling availability, drive improvements, manage inventory and compliance, and serve as liaison between tooling engineers and the production team.

Responsibilities include auditing tooling, supporting tooling studies, conducting performance testing, resolving tooling issues, proposing new tooling designs, and promoting Saab's values of Trust,

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in STEM or 2+ years comparable work experience is required.
• 2+ years of technical/assembly in aircraft manufacturing is a plus.
• Tooling selection/application experience in manufacturing setting.
• Basic tooling design and troubleshooting tooling issues.

Responsabilités

• Audit and maintain proper tools within each assembly area.
• Provide support for tooling studies and applications.
• Conduct performance testing for tooling and provide analyses.
• Investigate and resolve tooling issues.
• Propose new tooling solutions/designs and contribute to installation of tooling capital projects.
• Assist assemblers with proper and safe use of tools.
• Ensure tooling compliance to aerospace standards.
