Job summary

Saab West Lafayette, IN is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Technician for the 3rd shift to ensure tooling is properly supplied, maintained, and continuously improved. You will bridge tooling engineers and production, supporting tooling studies, performance testing, and installation of capital projects while upholding Saab values.

The role emphasizes collaboration, compliance with aerospace standards, and the ability to work extended hours or weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in STEM or 2+ years related manufacturing experience required.

Responsibilities

• Audit and maintain proper tools within each assembly area.
• Provide support for tooling studies and application.
• Conduct performance testing for tooling and provide analysis reports.
• Investigate and resolve tooling issues.
• Propose new tooling solutions and contribute to installation of tooling capital projects.
• Contribute to a people-first culture aligned with Trust, Drive, Expertise, and Support.
• Assist assemblers with proper and safe use of tools.
• Ensure tooling compliance to Aerospace standards.
