Saab West Lafayette, IN is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Technician for the 3rd shift to support tooling, ensure proper supply of tools to the production system, and drive tooling improvements. You will partner with tooling engineers and the production team to document performance, resolve issues, and contribute to capital tooling projects.

Responsibilities include auditing tools, supporting tooling studies, conducting performance testing, and ensuring compliance with aerospace standards.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in STEM or 2+ years of comparable work experience.
• 2+ years of technical/assembly in aircraft manufacturing is a plus.
• Tooling selection and application experience in a manufacturing setting.
• Basic tooling design experience.
• Troubleshooting tooling issues with countermeasures.
• Tooling performance testing and reporting.
• Ability to operate machining and measurement equipment.
• Strong organizational skills and aerospace quality awareness.
• GD&T understanding and CAD familiarity are a plus.
• Proficiency with Excel and related reporting tools.

Responsabilités

• Audit and maintain proper tools within each assembly area.
• Provide support for tooling studies and applications.

• Investigate and resolve tooling issues.
• Propose new tooling solutions and support capital projects.
