Job summary

Textron Aviation is offering a 2027 Internship in Customer Service Engineering - Structures in Wichita, KS. You will assist in coordinating structural repairs, support field operations, and provide basic technical guidance to customers while collaborating with Structures Engineering.

The program runs 10 weeks (late May–early August), totaling 40 hours per week on site. Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. with visa sponsorship not available.

Responsibilities

• Assist in Structural Repair Coordination: gather information on aircraft damage and condition; communicate repair needs with engineering team; relay between engineering and shop personnel; understand billing actions.
• Support Field Operations: help develop letters for ferry flights, flight extensions, minor repairs and other structural issues; document workflow.
• Technical Guidance: provide basic technical guidance using published documents, drawings and specs; learn to interpret them.
• Identify Improvement Opportunities: learn to identify design and manufacturing improvements; provide feedback to departments.
• Monitor Repair Trends: observe repair trends and develop standard repairs for manuals.
• On-Site Damage Evaluations: accompany team on-site to evaluate severely damaged aircraft; learn damage evaluation process.
