Job summary

Textron Aviation is offering a 2027 Internship in Customer Service Engineering for Structures in Wichita. You will gain hands-on experience supporting customers and field teams on aircraft structural issues, coordinating with Structures Engineering to develop and support repairs across Textron Aviation models.

You will learn repair coordination, craft technical guidance from drawings and specs, and help improve designs while observing field operations and on-site damage evaluations.

Responsibilities

• Assist in coordinating structural repair processes by learning how to gather information on aircraft damage and condition.
• Observe and assist in communicating repair needs with the engineering team and shop personnel.
• Support field operations through documentation and letters for ferry flights, extensions, repairs, and other structural issues.
• Provide basic technical guidance to customers using published documents, drawings, and specifications.
• Identify opportunities for design and manufacturing improvements and provide feedback to relevant departments.
• Monitor structural repair trends and contribute to standard repair processes for potential inclusion in manuals.
• Participate in on-site damage evaluations to learn evaluation processes in the field.
