Job summary

Amentum is seeking an Aircraft Mechanic-Aviation Life Support Services professional to perform maintenance on aircraft, components and survival equipment. Responsibilities include inspection, testing, repair and troubleshooting, plus handling aircrew survival gear and records.

Qualifications require PR A School or equivalent, 3+ years of relevant experience, corrosion expertise, and recent F-18/EA-18G/E-2C/MH-60S exposure. A US Secret clearance is required with U.S. citizenship.

Qualifications

• PR A School graduate or USAF equivalent.
• At least three years of practical experience at organizational or intermediate level in the last five years.
• Experience in corrosion detection, treatment and prevention.
• Recent experience with F-18A-F, EA-18G, E-2C, MH-60S aircraft.
• Proficient with maintenance manuals and test equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform organizational, intermediate and limited depot level maintenance on aircraft and equipment.
• Install and remove cartridge actuated devices and propulsion devices.
• Pack, preserve and maintain parachutes and survival gear.
• Repair and maintain pilots’ personal equipment.
• Issue and receive aircrew survival equipment and update records.
• Inspect oxygen mask assemblies and survival gear.
• Brief and debrief aircrew on survival equipment usage.
• Maintain FOD, hazardous waste and tool control programs.
