Job summary

Amentum is seeking qualified aircraft mechanics for sensitive HQ USAF operations in the United States. The role involves maintenance of aircraft, inspections, and support for high-profile transport.

You will interpret technical documents, work with complex systems, and ensure safety and compliance at all times. Applicants should have an FAA A&P certificate, military maintenance background, and the ability to obtain a secret clearance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• FAA Airframe and Powerplant certification required.
• At least 1 year of recent aircraft maintenance on H-60 or S-70.
• Must complete US military aviation maintenance training with 1 year recent experience.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical manuals.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Support HQ USAF operational plans and air transport for Cabinet Members and dignitaries.
• Perform scheduled and unscheduled aircraft maintenance and repairs.
• Inspect and service aircraft systems and components as needed.
• Record maintenance actions in MIS and ensure proper documentation.
• Operate ground support equipment and assist aircrew for flights.
