Job summary

Amentum is seeking an Aircraft Mech 3 to support NAS Whidbey Island maintenance operations. The role involves managing, inspecting, performing, and directing organizational level maintenance on EA-18G aircraft and ALSS, and providing technical guidance to team members.

You will troubleshoot systems, read maintenance manuals, and ensure records are accurate. A Secret clearance is required, and travel may be involved as part of the position.

Qualifications

• US Citizenship is required for facility credentials at this location.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must have completed military aviation maintenance training or maintenance tech school.
• Seven years actual and recent aircraft experience.
• Three years F/A-18 experience, including QAR/CDQAR with supervisory duties.
• Ability to troubleshoot malfunctions across aircraft systems and perform Organizational Level maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot malfunctions in aircraft structures, systems, and ALSS equipment.
• Inspect and repair aircraft structures, engines, and related components per manuals and data.
• Perform inspections and maintain logs/records of maintenance actions.
• Provide technical guidance to lower-level technicians during modifications and maintenance.
