Job summary

Amentum is seeking an Aircraft Mechanic specializing in Aviation Life Support Services. The role covers maintenance, inspection and troubleshooting on assigned aircraft, components and equipment, with emphasis on survival gear and aircrew equipment.

The candidate will install devices, manage survival gear and brief aircrew on equipment use, while maintaining safety and FOD and tool control programs. A valid US Secret clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Shall be a PR A School graduate or Air Force school graduate IAW COMNAVAIRFORINST 4790.2 Series.
• Minimum of three years within the last five years practical experience at the organizational or intermediate level is required.
• Must have experience in corrosion detection, treatment and prevention.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a US Secret Government Clearance; US Citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Perform organizational, intermediate and limited depot maintenance on aircraft and components.
• Install and remove cartridge actuated devices and propulsion actuated devices.
• Pack, unpack and maintain parachutes and survival equipment.
• Brief and debrief aircrew on survival equipment usage.
• Maintain FOD, hazardous waste and tool control programs.
