Amentum in Florida seeks a CBP Aircraft Mechanic to perform maintenance, inspection, and servicing of assigned aircraft in accordance with 14 CFR and DoD regulations.

The role covers daily inspections, troubleshooting, and potential in-flight checks. Candidates must hold an FAA A&P certificate and be eligible for CBP clearance. The position may require travel and tool ownership, with attachments to mission requirements.

Formación

• Must hold a valid FAA A&P certificate.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Must obtain CBP clearance; US citizenship required.
• Ability to read schematics and technical manuals.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work in noisy environments.

Responsabilidades

• Perform maintenance, inspection, repair, and modification of aircraft per CFR and DoD.
• Conduct daily and turnaround inspections on all assigned aircraft.
• Troubleshoot aircraft systems and perform fault isolation.
• Possibly travel to temporary duty sites domestically and internationally.
• Furnish own hand tools; special tools provided by the customer.
• Support mission requirements and perform other duties as assigned.
• May fly on government aircraft for tests or relocation.
