Job summary

ACET in Fort Worth, TX is seeking an entry-to-mid-level Aircraft Mechanic I – Airframes to support organizational-level maintenance on F/A-18 aircraft.

Under supervision, you will perform routine maintenance, basic repairs, and component replacements on structures, landing gear, flight controls, and hydraulics, while ensuring mission readiness.

Qualifications include 1–2 years of aviation experience, basic knowledge of NAMP or equivalents, DoD security eligibility, and a high school diploma.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of aviation structures/airframes experience, military or commercial.
• Basic understanding of NAMP or equivalent maintenance frameworks.
• Familiarity with hand tools, riveting equipment, torque wrenches, and safety wire procedures.
• Must be able to obtain DoD Secret Clearance.
• High school diploma or equivalent; military aviation training desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assist with basic scheduled/unscheduled maintenance on F/A-18 structures and hydraulics.
• Remove/replace worn parts, panels, seals, and lines under supervision.
• Assist inspections for cracks, corrosion, or leaks during daily and pre/post flights.
• Operate ground support equipment safely and maintain workspace order.
