Job summary

West Star Aviation Inc. is seeking Aircraft Maintenance Technicians at our East Alton, IL facility. The role encompasses mechanical tasks, troubleshooting, inspections, and helping to keep modern civilian aircraft in top condition.

On-site work with a team focused on safety and quality is essential. The position supports AMT I–IV levels; candidates may bring varying experience from 0 to 6+ years, with licenses required and a path toward senior maintenance responsibilities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Airframe or Powerplant license required; Airframe preferred.
• 0–2 years of aviation maintenance experience (AMT I).
• 2–4 years of aviation maintenance experience (AMT II); corporate aircraft exp. preferred.
• 4–6+ years of aviation maintenance experience (AMT III); broad maintenance knowledge.
• 6+ years in aviation maintenance (AMT IV Master); extensive corporate aircraft exp.

Responsibilities

• Perform general mechanical tasks on aircraft and related systems.
• Remove and install panels and components.
• Troubleshoot and resolve aircraft system issues.
• Inspect and evaluate aircraft and components.
• Move aircraft and assist in taxiing and testing.
• Maintain shop facilities, equipment and tools.
• Navigate maintenance data bases and manuals.
