Job summary

West Star Aviation Inc. in East Alton, IL is seeking a Gulfstream Aircraft Maintenance Technician (2nd Shift) to perform mechanical tasks and inspect aircraft systems. On-site role with competitive hourly pay and strong benefits.

Airframe or Powerplant licenses are required, with experience levels ranging from 0–2 years for AMT I up to 6+ years for AMT IV. You will work under supervision with room for growth and contribute to safety and quality in a fast-paced hangar.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• A valid driver’s license approved for airline travel and/or a valid passport is ideal, but not mandatory.
• Airframe or Powerplant licenses are required; Airframe license is preferred for AMT I and II; Powerplant license highly preferred for AMT IV.

Responsibilities

• Performing general mechanical tasks on aircraft and related systems.
• Removal and installation of panels and components.
• Troubleshooting and problem-solving aircraft system/component issues.
• De-fueling aircraft.
• Engine removal/installations.
• Operating ground support equipment.
• Inspection and evaluation of the aircraft and components.
• Aircraft movement and assistance in performance runs/taxiing.
• Maintenance and repair of shop facility, equipment and tooling.
• Basic computer skills to navigate electronic training, manuals, and maintenance databases.
• Communication in English.
