Job summary

West Star Aviation Inc. in East Alton, IL is seeking an Aircraft Maintenance Technician for the weekend shift. You will perform general mechanical tasks on aircraft, remove/install panels, troubleshoot systems, and support engine work in a hangar environment.

Qualifications

• Airframe or Powerplant license is required (Airframe license preferred).
• 0-2 years of experience in aviation maintenance, avionics, or similar.

Responsibilities

• Performing general mechanical tasks on aircraft and related systems.
• Removal and installation of panels and components.
• Troubleshooting and problem-solving aircraft system/component issues.
• De-fueling aircraft.
• Engine removal/installations.
• Operating ground support equipment.
• Inspection and evaluation of the aircraft and components.
• Aircraft movement and assistance in performance runs/taxiing.
• Maintenance and repair of shop facility, equipment and tooling.
• Basic computer skills to navigate electronic training, manuals, and maintenance data bases.
• Effectively and clearly communicate in English.
• Any other job-related duties as assigned by supervisor or management.
