West Star Aviation Inc. in Grand Junction, CO is seeking an Aircraft Maintenance Technician (AMT) for a full-time, on-site role. The job offers hands-on work on civilian aircraft, with responsibilities spanning troubleshooting, engine work, panel removal/installations, and component repairs under FAA guidelines.

AMTs progress through licensed levels (I–IV) with growing responsibility. This position includes comprehensive benefits starting day one and competitive pay depending on license,

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Airframe or Powerplant license required; Airframe preferred.
• 0–2 years experience for AMT I; 2–4 for AMT II; 4–6+ for AMT III/IV.
• Must meet FAA guidelines and be able to work overtime/weekends.

Responsabilités

• Perform general mechanical tasks on aircraft and related systems.
• Remove/install panels and components.
• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• De-fuel aircraft.
• Perform engine removal and installations.
• Operate ground support equipment.
• Inspect and evaluate aircraft and components.
• Assist with aircraft movement and performance runs.
• Maintain shop facilities and tooling.
• Navigate maintenance data bases and manuals.
• Communicate effectively in English.
• Adhere to FAA guidelines and company safety rules.
