West Star Aviation Inc. in East Alton, IL is seeking an Aircraft Maintenance Technician to perform mechanical tasks on civilian aircraft, including disassembly, inspection, and repair.

You will troubleshoot systems, operate ground support equipment, and assist with performance runs and taxiing, all while adhering to FAA guidelines. Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license; passport ideal but not mandatory.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to follow FAA guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Perform general mechanical tasks on aircraft and related systems.
• Remove and install panels and components.
• Troubleshoot aircraft system issues.
• Inspect and evaluate the aircraft and components.
• Operate ground support equipment.
• Communicate effectively in English.
• Maintain shop facilities and tooling.
• Assist in performance runs and taxiing.
